I am a British landscape, abstract and semi-abstract painter based in Malvern, Worcestershire in the West Midlands. My work is often an emotional response to the natural landscape, particularly the evocative changing light on the beautiful Malvern Hills that are close to my home and my heart. I work mainly in acrylics, oils and mixed media, sometimes en plein air, but mostly from my home studio. My paintings are often highly textured and layered and tend to be an instinctive response to the subject.

I have gallery representation in England and Wales and sell work internationally.

I also work for commission, and am an experienced painting tutor.

I enjoy taking an expressive and experimental approach to painting; exploring new techniques and processes within each painting with the aim of keeping spontaneity alive. I love the thrill of the happy accident, finding the balance between chaos and control and approaching each piece afresh, to see where the journey takes me.
