Abstract and Abstracted Landscapes

 

You may have a particular colour palette or mood you want to create. You may have seen a work that you like that has already sold or you would like larger or smaller version. While I would never re-produce a previous work, I would be happy to work with you to develop a unique painting inspired by your preferences.

 

Specific Landscape or Location

 

Maybe you have a particular place in mind; a seascape, a favourite tree or view that you want to be reminded of and connected to? From concept to completion, you the client and I would work together to bring an idea to reality. I would visit the location, sketch, photograph and paint to start the process. I would invite you to become engaged in the creative process through discussions, helping me to produce a painting whose conception, title, subject, colour, and form are truly personal to you.

 

A commissioned painting typically takes from 6 to 12 weeks to complete depending on size  (I have been known to complete a commission in a week). Acrylic is quicker and Oils will take longer due to their slow drying rate.

Several factors can affect the cost of a commissioned painting, including size, content, medium, travel expenses, accessibility of the subject, and picture framing. Due to the extra work involved, prices are usually approximately 20% higher than my equivalent gallery prices. Prices can be negotiated.

Framing costs are not included in the price but I can arrange for framing with an excellent Herefordshire frame-maker if required. I look forward to hearing from you.
